The latest possession was pretty impressive by the New Orleans Saints.

They managed to score after 76 yards in only 5 plays. The offensive line is doing a really good job of protection of the pocket giving Drew Brees plenty of time to find an open reciever and enough room to step up and make the pass even when the pressure is heavy.

San Diego gets the lead back and the score is now at 14 to 10.

San Diego is forced to take a field goal due to a failed 3rd down conversion. San Diego takes the lead back with a score of 10 to 7.

At the end of the first quarter we have a tied score at 7 to 7.

Looking at the numbers of passing yards or completions by either of the quarterbacks you would think that those numbers came from a winning game, for each of them.

Both teams played very well both on offense and defense. Mistakes were made on certain plays throughout the game and at times Denver was on the recieving end of those mistakes and at times it was New England.

Each teams’ defense managed to force a turnover at a time when they really needed it, but in the case of Denver for some reason they were unable to capitalize on it.

New England ends up winning the game. The final score in the game Denver 21 New England 31.

The latest turnover by the Broncos I think just cost them the game. Manning was moving the ball well and quickly. But now that the Patriots have it back the job is nearly impossible for Denver to turn it back around.

Score is still 31 to 21 Patriots on top.

Exactly what the Denver Broncos needed late in the fourth quarter. But is it enough or is it too late?

The next posession will help determine that. Denver is down by 0 points and the score is Denver 21 New England 31. It is currently New England ball with 6 minutes left.

New England Patriots score again and they have a 7 point lead over the denver Broncos. Currently Broncos 7 Patriots 14.

The hurry up or no huddle offense is certainly a factor on today’s game as it will likely be in many future games for both of these teams.

When this is done properly it works very well since it can often catch the defensive line off guard, or like we have seen in a few recent plays, catch them trying to adjust their position as the ball is snapped.

The Broncos have to punt it away and Manning is unable to match touchdown for touchdown. It’s a great kick and the Patriots get the ball back on the Denver one.

Well it’s end of the first quarter and I am finally getting settled in to this game since I was watching the Redskins game earlier.

At the end of the quarter, the Patriots have the lead 7 to 0.

So I was challenged to make my picks, and did so. Out of the 3 games this week in my picks, 2 have been played and I am at 50%.

First we have the Arizona upset. I picked Arizona to win by 5. Many were surprised that the St. Louis Rams ended the undefeated reign by the Cardinals and win. The score in that game was 17 to 3.

Then we have the Atlanta Falcons against the Washington Redskins. A tight game and the Redskin defense was pretty impressive but it wasn’t enough.

I picked the Falcons to win by 7 and they did just that. The final score was 24 to 17, my pick being 100% correct on that.

I just joined this game with 6 mionutes or so left since I was watching Atlantya win over Washington.

The first play I see is Aaron Rodgers get sacked for the fourth time. The next play the Colts do it again for the fifth time.

After not giving any sacks up during the first half it seems as though the Colts defense is certainly penetratinmg the line better in the half.
