Chicago Bears vs Detroit Lions week 7 3rd quarter

3rd Quarter recap In Detroit Lions and Chicago Bears Football Game

Fortunately Jay Cutler did come back out on the field for the Bears in the second half although the bench did report that he has bruised ribs. Hopefully it will not affect his throwing too much due to pain.

The Bears go 3 and out and punt. Once again a dropped kick and the Bears recover the ball and get the ball back in great field position.

The first play is a great run by Michael Bush and a first down. They are well within striking distance and the Detroit defense must step it up again and they are able to stop the touchdown but Chicago ends up taking the field goal and extend their lead early in the 3rd quarter. Score is at Bears 13 to Lions 0.

A great drive by Detroit and they get deep into Bear territory. Then on a pass play in the end zone they draw a pass interferance and get the ball on the 1 yard line with a first down. On second and goal they try to run it in and fumble the ball and the Bear defense has the recovery and Chicago gets the ball back once again and again keeps Detroit from scoring.

So far in this game, the Lions have not been in the red zone much and when they have made it, have been unable to convert once there.

The Bears are unable to capitalize on the turnover and turn it into points and must kick it away.

At the end of the 3rd quarter the Lions have not converted and punt so the Bears get the ball back at the beginning of the 4th. Score is still 13 to 0 with the Bears leading.

Detroit Lions vs Chicago Bears week 7 half time

End of the first half in Chicago Bears Football game against Detroit Lions

Another punt by the Bears, and a flag on the return, and it might be the best starting field position the Lions have had so far. But a hurried throw on third down and they must punt again.

The Bears get the ball deep in their own territory, at the one, and the Detroit defense needs to be stronger right now then they have been so far this game.

Even though it took them 3 downs to do it they do get the first down and now have a bit of breathing room. A really nice drive by the Bears and I think what made it so impressive was the overall mixture of plays that Chicago ran. They had quite a mixture of both play action pass and running.

Detroit defense does manage to hold them off in the red zone and the special teams get a kudos since they were able to block the field goal and keep them from scoring on this drive.

Detroit gets the ball back and have a nice play on first down and get about 8 yards and then nothing and they go 3 and out once again.

A big scare for Chicago and Cutler takes a big hit and stayed down a bit so he had to be out for one play, but he is ok and goes back in but they go 3 and out and Detroit will get the ball again before the end of the half.

This drive was clearly ther best turned in by the Lions so far and they get a few first downs but then end up fumbling the ball and give it back to the Chicago defense.

Since there was only 1 minute 22 left in the half and even though it is Chicago’s ball Cutler goes to the locker room early, most likely to check him out after such a bit hit on him.

The Bears take a 10 point lead into the half with a score of Bears 10 to Lions 0.

Detroit Lions vs Chicago Bears week 7

Detroit Lions vs Chicago Bears 1st quarter week 7

The Detroit Lions are first to get the ball and the Bears defense shuts them down and they go 3 and out.

Chicago gets the ball with decent field position and on the first 3rd and long the quarterback Jay Cutler runs it for a first down. A few plays later they have a great running play and before you know it they are in the end zone and are first on the board with a score of 7 to the Bears 0.

The Lions can’t seem to get their momemtum going and can not convert on their second drive either. Detroit needs to start making more 3rd down conversions or they will not get anywhere tonight.

Defensively the Lions are giving Cutler too much time in the pocket and they need to step up the pressure more. The Bears quarterback has quite an arm and his accuracy so far this game has been fine. They did manage to stop this latest 3rd down conversion and Chicago must punt and the Lions will have the ball on the 19.

Another 3 and out and it’s time to punt the ball to Chicago again. The Bears get the ball back around mid field. And Jay Cutler has no one to deliver the ball to and turns in another great run and gains about 24 yards. The Lions defense stepped it up a bit and force the Bears to take a field goal and gives Chicago a 10 to 0 lead over the Lions.

As we near the end of the first quarter the Lions punt the ball again and the score still stands at 10 to 0 the Bears lead.

Brighthouse changes game before end AGAIN!

The Idiots at Brighthouse or the Network changes game before it ends

And once again Brighthouse, or the CBS Network decides thery don’t want us watchiong the football game that the Channel guide says we could watch and change the game being showed.

This is just bull and has completely made up my mind that I will NOT be watching football games next year on cable. The guides showed me that the Houston vs Baltimore game would be showing on this channel and the game is NOT over yet so show me the damn game you said you would show me or just take the damn network off the air.

From this day forward I will likely NEVER recommend anyone use cable for their television and stronlgy encourage everyone to look into satellite.

The network said I could watch the Houston game and that’s the one I wanted to watch, to COMPLETION, not until some jerk sitting in an office watching ALL the games decides what I can watch.

Baltimore gets field goal against Houston

Baltimore is forced to settle for field goal against Houston

The Ravens just can’t get it together and make it into the end zone.

And due to the idots who change games before they are over I can no longer watch a game I have over 2 hours invested into.

Houston Texans vs Baltimore Ravens week 7

Houston scores again, can the Ravens come back from this?

Another score by the Texans give them a 26 point lead. With the score at 36 to 10, Houston has a solid lead in the 3rd quarter.

Baltimore needs to convert their next possession and just can NOT allow a turnover.

Baltimore vs Houston week 7

Ravens get their first touchdown oif the game

Clearly the best drive that the Ravens have had so far this game ends in their first touchdown today.

This puts the Ravens somewhat back in to the game, but only if the defense can stop the Texans and keep them from scoring on this drive.

Baltimore Ravens vs Houston Texans end 1st half

Houston Texans have serious lead over Baltimore Ravens at half time

It appears that the Ravens are going to need to make some serious changes in the second half of the game. They can not keep having all these 3 and outs and expect to get anything done.

And the Texan offensive line has done a great job so far of protecting Matt Schaub giving him plenty of time. The Ravens defense must improve their penetration and get more pressure on Schaub.

And the Raven defense need to reduce their mistakes and penalties. The have had a number of holding calls or personal fouls that have given the Texans yards and a number of first downs instead of stopping the drive.

The Texans take a 26 point lead into the locker room with the score being 29 to 3.

Houston leads 23 to 20 over Baltimore

Houston extends the lead to 20 against Baltimore

The latest drive ends with another touchdown by Houston which extends their lead to 20 points over Baltimore.

With just under 6 minutes left in the first half it’s time for the Ravens to do something with their offense.

Baltimore’s Flacco throws interception

Baltimore’s Flacco throws interception

The first play of the drive immediately following a Houston drive that ended in a touchdown and Joe Flacco throws an interception that is run in for a touchdown.

This gives Houston a nice lead over Baltimore. The score is now 16 to 3.
