Chicago Bears vs Detroit Lions week 7 3rd quarter

3rd Quarter recap In Detroit Lions and Chicago Bears Football Game

Fortunately Jay Cutler did come back out on the field for the Bears in the second half although the bench did report that he has bruised ribs. Hopefully it will not affect his throwing too much due to pain.

The Bears go 3 and out and punt. Once again a dropped kick and the Bears recover the ball and get the ball back in great field position.

The first play is a great run by Michael Bush and a first down. They are well within striking distance and the Detroit defense must step it up again and they are able to stop the touchdown but Chicago ends up taking the field goal and extend their lead early in the 3rd quarter. Score is at Bears 13 to Lions 0.

A great drive by Detroit and they get deep into Bear territory. Then on a pass play in the end zone they draw a pass interferance and get the ball on the 1 yard line with a first down. On second and goal they try to run it in and fumble the ball and the Bear defense has the recovery and Chicago gets the ball back once again and again keeps Detroit from scoring.

So far in this game, the Lions have not been in the red zone much and when they have made it, have been unable to convert once there.

The Bears are unable to capitalize on the turnover and turn it into points and must kick it away.

At the end of the 3rd quarter the Lions have not converted and punt so the Bears get the ball back at the beginning of the 4th. Score is still 13 to 0 with the Bears leading.
