Alabama Crimson Tide vs Mississippi Rebels 3rd quarter

Throughout the third quarter, the Mississippi defense was able to keep pressure on the Tide’s quarterback McCarron more effectively. They were not able to shut him down completely but they did much better then in the first half.

In fact, the third quarter was the first time Alabama has not scored in 34 quarters. No doubt had the Rebels been abble to produce this kind of game during the first half it would likely would have been a much different ball game.

Fortunately for Alabama, they also have a solid defense and managed to keep them from converting on 3rd down conversions a number of times and get the ball back in to the hands of their offense.

End of third quarter score Alabama 27 to Mississippi’s 14.
